"This historic moment comes at a time of great uncertainty for many Americans. We have now been through nearly a decade of war. We have endured a long and painful recession. And sometimes in the midst of these storms, the future that we are trying to build for our nation - a future of lasting peace and long-term prosperity - may seem beyond our reach"

bullet Paris Hilton debarred from two Las Vegas resorts corner

Paris Hilton has been banned from two Sin City resorts following an arrest on the grounds of possessing cocaine.

Police has also reported smelling marijuana emanating from the Cadillac Escalade her boyfriend was driving, reports RadarOnline.

Hilton, 29, has been banned from two resorts of Wynn resorts-Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.

She was caught with cocaine in Wynn Las Vegas on August 27 when it fell out from her bag as she tried to reach for lip balm.

Hilton's boyfriend, Cy Waits, was fired from his job with Wynn Resorts earlier this week.

Waits was also arrested on suspicion of misdemeanour driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Charges have not yet been filed.

Hilton has been scheduled for arraignment on October 27 in Nevada.

Of Late, Hilton has been involved in the drug possession news quite often. She was arrested during football world cup in South Africa for possessing marijuana and was held by police in France for the same offence.

"These rumours going around are so ridiculous, untrue and cruel. I am not going to even pay attention to them because I know the truth," the New York Post quoted the heiress as tweeting late Tuesday night. (ANI)

The Las Vegas Herald is essentially a local Las Vegas newspaper, but with a national and international perspective, designed to provide readers with a one-stop shop for Las Vegas, national US, regional, and world news coverage, weather and sports information, with live updates on breaking business stories, and what's happening in the financial markets.

The biggest advantage we have is that we are an online newspaper, which means we are constantly refreshing our stories as more and more information comes to hand. Often when a story breaks the initial details are sketchy.

We and our sources around the world work hard to gather more information, verify facts, and provide a perspective of the major stories. Expert opinion often accompanies our articles to better inform readers, and provide a more complete understanding
of the news we deliver.

Financial markets and business reports are regular features as we pin down what's happening, and constantly refresh stock market indice readings, dollar currency rates, and breaking business news reports. Our world sports coverage is a priority, as is our regional news.

We like to think if you're looking for breaking news out of Las Vegas, Nevada, the United States, or the world, you'll look for it first at the Las Vegas Herald.
